LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The state Senate Transportation Committee endorsed a bill that would create a “Choose Life” license plate. Funds from the sales of the specialty plate would go into a special fund that would distribute the money to pro-life, non-profit agencies. Pro-choice groups claim that it only a “scheme” for promoting an “ideological viewpoint,” and say that similar legislation for abortion rights should also be considered. The full Senate now takes up the matter.
