BOSSIER PARISH, LOUISIANA (WKZO) — It’s hard to call it good news but its closure for a South west Michigan Family. After over 30 years they have an answer to the question, what ever happened to our Carol Ann Cole?
That’s all her dad, who lives in Springfield, wanted to know.
Word came today that DNA samples matched and that she was stabbed to death and dumped in a swampy area in Bossier Parish in Louisiana in 1981.
The unidentified body had been known as “Bossier Doe” all these years.
A composite sketch on a website prompted Cole’s sister to make the enquiry and DNA samples from other family members who still live in the Kalamazoo area confirmed the identification.
Now that they have an identification, a cold case investigation can be conducted to try and find her killers, but that won’t be easy after all these years.
