TROWBRIDGE TOWNSHIP (WKZO) — Allegan County Deputies say they may pursue charges against the person they are now calling the at-fault driver in a fatal car pedestrian collision last Saturday.
35-year-old Ricky Sheldon Jr. had just stopped along M-89 to help out a relative whose pick-up had broken down.
Sheldon was walking back across the road to return to his own vehicle when he was struck and killed.
Police now say that the at-fault driver had strayed outside of the line and side-swiped Sheldon’s vehicle before striking him.
Speed and alcohol had already been ruled out in the crash.
It will be up to Allegan County’s Prosecutor to make a final determination on charges.
