LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Four state legislative subcommittees held a hearing into the Governor’s proposed merger of the Department of Human Services and the Department of Community Health. They are asking the current director of the two departments, Nick Lyon, for more information about the plan that Mr. Snyder claims would improve efficiencies and save money while not compromising services. The Governor’s Executive Order takes effect on April 10th unless both the House and Senate reject it.
