DETROIT (WKZO) — Despite devastating losses in state races last fall, Lon Johnson has been unanimously re-elected as chair of the Michigan Democratic Party for a second term.
Now the push will be to win Michigan for presumed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016.
The former First Lady, Senator and Secretary of State has not formally announced she is a candidate for president, but she apparently has the support of most of the Michigan Party’s leadership and top elected officials.
This weekend’s convention was held at Cobo Hall in Detroit.
