LAS VEGAS — Grand Rapids native Floyd Mayweather, Jr. says he and Manny Pacquaio continue negotiations for a fight in Las Vegas on May 2. He posted a photo of his meeting with Pacquaio in Miami last week on his Shots account Thursday, saying he did it to show his camp is not behind the delays in reaching a deal.
Pacquaio is the current WBO welterweight champion with a record of 57 wins, five losses and two draws, while Mayweather is the WBC, WBA and Ring welterweight champ with a perfect 47-0 record. Boxing fans have been anticipating a match between the two for years.
