DETROIT (WKZO) — American Idol is coming to Detroit. On February 19th and again on March 4th and 5th the show will be taping at The Filmore. Last year two of the top contenders came from Michigan. Malaya Watson from Southfield finished in eighth place. Farmington Hills’ Jena Irene was the season’s runner up.
