MUSKEGON (WKZO) — The family of a 28-year-old Muskegon man who was killed by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday is pleading with the suspect to come forward. Rory Robinson was hit twice, with the second driver stopping to help.
Tammy Robinson says had the first driver stopped, her son would probably still be alive. Police have found pieces of a 1994 to 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe at the scene, and they believe that was the vehicle that first hit Robinson as he walked along Apple Avenue around 11 p.m. Saturday.
The family is struggling to come up with the money for the man’s funeral.
