VAN BUREN COUNTY (WKZO) — A fugitive who was wanted on a couple of warrants before he was involved in a domestic dispute in the Sister Lakes area in Van Buren County spent Super Bowl Sunday in the Van Buren County Jail.
A woman who sheltered him after he escaped police may also be facing charges this week.
32-year-old Jason Lee Pasley fled twice from deputies on Thursday, escaping once by car and again on foot.
Friday detectives developed information on where he might be hiding.
Saturday they set up surveillance at a home in the 93000 Block of County Road 690 in the Sister Lakes area.
They saw Pasley leave and reenter the home.
The deputies called for back-up and confronted the homeowner, who initially denied Pasley was there even after they explained to her that she could be arrested for harboring a fugitive.
He eventually surrendered and was arrested on an outstanding felony drug charge out of St. Ignace and a burglary warrant issued by authorities in St. Joseph County, Indiana.
