BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) A Battle Creek man arrested over the weekend on unrelated charges is now expected to be charged Monday with a double shooting.
The 24-year-old is believed to be the triggerman who left a man in critical condition and his female passenger wounded when they were shot as they sat in a car at 219 Jordan Street.
The names of the victims were never released, only their ages. The 25-year-old woman was treated and released.
The 24-year-old male victim remains hospitalized at Bronson Methodist in Kalamazoo, where he is receiving treatment for multiple gunshot wounds.
Battle Creek Police are seeking warrants from the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office charging the suspect with two counts of assault with intent to murder and multiple gun felonies.
