WEST MICHIGAN (WKZO) –Freezing rain left a thin layer of ice on everything this morning, closing a number of school districts for the day and causing a number of accidents.
One involved a Van Buren County Deputy’s cruiser, which was parked behind a car that had gone into the ditch on Eastbound I-94 near Paw Paw.
A semi skid out of control on the ice and and knocked the Deputy’s car onto the other car. Everyone was rescued from the wreckage with mostly minor injuries.
National Weather Service Meteorlogist Wayne Hoepner says you may want to leave a little extra time in your schedule for scrapping and travel this morning.
