BRIDGMAN (WKZO) — Police in southwest Michigan are investigating the death of a nursing home resident following a reported assault on Friday.
Bridgman Police Chief Dan Unruh says his department was informed Monday that 83-year-old Floyd Perham died on Sunday from a head injury suffered at West Woods of Bridgman Nursing Home. The man was taken to Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph after police were called to the scene, and Unruh notes Perham was conscious and alert while being transported.
The case is being sent to the Berrien County Prosecutor’s Office for possible charges against another nursing home resident.
