WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) – A sign at Hager Park in Jenison with a biblical passage will be reinstalled. Ottawa County commissioners Tuesday afternoon voted 9-to-2 to reinstall the sign that had been taken down last month by the county Parks Commission after a Michigan civil rights group threatened a lawsuit on behalf of two unnamed Jenison residents. County officials say the sign, which includes the passage from Psalm 19, had been part of the agreement that the county made with Titus Hager when he deeded the land off of 28th Avenue and Bauer Road more than 50 years ago. County spokeswoman Shannon Felgner says the sign will include information about its history.
