COMSTOCK (WKZO) — An assault outside the Meijer on Gull Road is being investigated. Police were contacted by staff at Borgess Hospital Sunday afternoon after a 63-year-old man arrived seeking treatment for injuries suffered in the attack.
The man and his wife were loading groceries into their car when another man approached and struck the victim once in the face, knocking him to the ground. The man then walked away, got into his vehicle, and left. Why he did so remains a mystery.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s around six-feet, three-inches in height with a large build and a scruffy appearance. He is believed to be driving a green Pontiac Montana mini-van with possibly a Florida license plate.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s department.
