OAKLAND COUNTY (WKZO) –Here is another disease to worry about. The first case of Measles to be reported in Michigan this year has been identified in Oakland County in an adult.
They are trying to determine if it’s linked to an outbreak of Measles out west that they believe started at Disneyland.
Measles is highly contagious, and while most people have been vaccinated against it, not everyone has.
It used to be extremely common but it’s become so rare that most doctors and nurses in current practice have never seen a case.
It gives its victims a horrible skin rash but its really a respiratory disease.
