KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — Kalamazoo’s Fire Marshal will be looking for the cause of a fast moving fire that has destroyed a home at 615 Egleston in the Edison Neighborhood.
The home had been divided into four apartments leaving gaps in the walls and the balloon construction of the home allowed the flames to spread quickly from the basement to the attic late Thursday afternoon.
All three levels were on fire when the first fire crews arrived.
Three residents were able to escape uninjured but lost most of what they own.
They are calling the structure a total loss.
