KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — Kalamazoo County Treasurer Mary Balkema told the Kalamazoo County Board this week that it would solve a few problems if everyone in the county who was supposed to get a dog license actually did.
She says it would provide more than enough to build the new animal shelter that the County desperately needs.
She says they plan a billboard and media campaign to get people to license their dogs.
She had special dog tags made for every County Board member and asked them to wear them to promote the campaign.
