LANSING (WKZO) — Governor Rick Snyder has made his strongest statement yet against an effort by fellow republican lawmakers to end the prevailing wage for skilled tradesmen working on state contracts.
On the day after his State of the State, Snyder was speaking to reporters at Franchino Mold and Engineering in Lansing, promoting his desire to beef up training for skilled tradesmen in the state.
He also highlighted many of the public and private efforts that are underway in the state to specifically train students for the skilled trades.
