LANSING, MI (WTVB) – Governor Rick Snyder is going into tonight’s State of the State speech with a big deficit on his hands. It’s a $325-million mid-year shortfall after an unidentified business cashed in two state tax credits last week worth more than $224 million. Consequently, the Governor is going into the State of the State address with $532 million less in revenue to work with than last year.
The Governor is scheduled to deliver his address at 7 p.m. EST and President Barack Obama will deliver his State of the Union address at 9 p.m. EST.
