GRANDVILLE (WKZO) — Quick work by an off-duty Hudsonville firefighter is being credited with saving the lives of two people who were trapped in an upside-down SUV that was submerged in a drainage ditch.
The firefighter spotted the crash off of Interstate 196 near the Chicago Drive ramp in Grandville Sunday around 10 a.m. He broke a window to help get the people out, and was assisted by Grandville firefighters. Police are looking for the car that forced the SUV off the road.
