LANSING (WKZO) — The State of Michigan is looking at revenue shortfalls at a time most say the recovery should be bringing in more money.
Governor Rick Snyder is blaming business tax breaks approved years ago by the Granholm Administration.
Kalamazoo State Rep. Jon Hoadley, who has just been appointed to the Appropriation Committee says the tax breaks given to business by Snyder dwarf anything prior administrations gave away.
The Revenue Estimating Committee met Friday and says they have a 289 million dollar problem that has to be resolved by October, and will have over a half billion dollar shortfall in their next budget.
Everyone is putting together a list of possible cuts and it could get ugly.
