PAW PAW (WKZO) — A mother and her son from Bangor, 46-year-old Peggy and 28-year old Randall Hamilton have agreed to plead no-contest to first degree child abuse.
The case began when an emaciated 11-year-old boy was found shivering in a ditch along C.R. 380 in August and absolutely terrified at the thought of being returned to the double-wide trailer in Geneva Township where his family lived and he had runaway.
Doctors determined the boy had been abused and malnourished.
Investigators found that he had been nailed to the floor for long periods of time with plumber’s strap nailed to the floor.
The two will be sentenced in March.
