GROSSE POINTE PARK (WKZO) — The attorney for 51-year-old Andrew Jackson describes the carjacking suspect as having an eye swollen shut from an arrest recorded on cell phone by a witness concerned about excessive force.
An officer from Grosse Pointe Park and one from Highland Park are on a multi-agency task force. The video appears to show one officer punching Jackson and another putting his knee in Jackson’s back once the armed man was handcuffed.
Grosse Pointe Park Chief David Hiller called the actions proper and the Highland Park city attorney requested more time for investigation.
