LANSING (WKZO) — Governor Rick Snyder has appointed new judges to Kalamazoo County. Chief Judge Paul J. Bridenstine has been appointed to the 9th Circuit Court and Christopher Haenicke to the 8th District Court.
Bridenstine teaches political science at Western Michigan University and will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge J. Richardson Johnson. Haenicke is vice president of Greenleaf Trust and is a member of the Oshtemo Township Citizen Ad Hoc Police Protection Committee.
Both will have to seek re-election in 2016 to serve the remaining portions of their terms.
