DETROIT (WKZO) — Bob Bashara has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the death of his wife Jane in 2012. Wayne County Judge Vonda Evans handed down the verdict after hearing Bashara ask for a mistrial Thursday morning.
Bashara read from an eight-page statement and told the court his legal counsel did not present evidence that would have helped his case. He also said that Wayne County prosecutors and the media made it impossible for him to get a fair trial.
