DETROIT (WKZO) — The name of the new Chevrolet Bolt might not be what’s on the car once the electric vehicle is on the road.
General Motors North American President Alan Batey said Tuesday at the North American International Auto Show that the automaker is getting questions about the name being too similar to the hybrid Chevy Volt. Batey said GM intentionally named the new car with a 200-mile range on a single electric charge to be similar to the Bolt, but added changes could be possible because “our job is not to confuse people.”
The Bolt was unveiled this week at the auto show.
