DETROIT (WKZO) — Chevrolet has formally introduced an updated version of the Volt at the North American International Auto Show.
The biggest change for the hybrid vehicle is a new battery pack that increases the range of the vehicle from 30 miles to approximately 50 miles on a single charge. The total travel distance with the gasoline engine rises to 420 miles before refueling.
The new Volt has a sleeker design and now has capacity for five passengers. No pricing information for the Volt 2.0 was announced.
