AUBURN HILLS (WKZO) — Michigan is now home to a group of unlikely new citizens.
Six sharks arrived from Florida Thursday and were released into the water at the Sea Life Michigan Aquarium in Auburn Hills, set to open January 29th. The blacknose, bonnethead and nurse sharks traveled to Michigan through the night and arrived around 10 a.m., where a select group of young students got to watch their release into the water.
The new aquarium will also be home to stingrays, tropical fish and other sea creatures.
