GALESBURG, MI (WHTC/WKZO) – Michigan State police say the latest count on the vehicles involved in that massive collision on I-94 east of Galesburg is 193. They say the one man who died was a truck driver from Quebec named Jean Larocque. Two dozen others were taken to local emergency rooms but most were treated and released. State Police aren’t sure what initially triggered the massive wreck but say what followed was a typical, if huge chain reaction, as new vehicles going way too fast for conditions piled into the earlier wrecks. They are now saying it could be late this morning or early this afternoon before they can reopen the highway. There is still alot to cleanup.
