CALHOUN COUNTY (WKZO) — The death of a 6-month-old infant from a home in Calhoun County’s Newton Township is being investigated.
Her parents found the infant unresponsive Friday morning and began CPR. It was continued by EMS crews when they arrived but the baby could not be revived.
She was pronounced dead at the home in the Hickory Hills Trailer Park off 6 Mile Road.
State Police say they are waiting for the autopsy to be performed at the new forensic facility at the WMU Medical School before deciding how to proceed with the investigation.
