LANSING (WKZO) — High school juniors in Michigan are done taking the ACT for their state-administered college entrance exam after this school year.
The state Department of Education says they will switch in 2016 to the SAT, adding the change will save money and noting the test is more in line with educational standards in Michigan. By law, the state has to provide an entrance exam and a work skills test for all high school students for free.
The SAT is being revamped, and the new version will be what students take next spring.
