Richard now hosts his own show too, weekdays from 10am to 11:45am!
Richard’s latest stint brings him back to his favorite of all the positions he held previously with 590 KZO: Working mornings with Lori Moore!
A native of the Detroit area, Richard worked in various capacities at 590 KZO from 1997 to 2004. In that time, you heard him anchoring news and hosting any one of the daytime programs. This time, Lori lured him back from Detroit in May 2006, to anchor news between 5:30 and 9:30am weekdays.
Richard also appears weekly at the downtown Kalamazoo Rotary Club, offering the news nuggets of the day and (hopefully) a few laughs to downtown Rotarians.
When away from the newsroom, Richard spends his time teaching communications and journalism part time, as well as writing an occasional freelance article or script. He enjoys many of the great restaurants in southwest Michigan, is an aficionado of cars, a fan of “The Rockford Files” and "The Sopranos," and loves the sound of baseball play-by-play in the summertime (Go Tigers!). He also serves as president of the CARES board of directors in Kalamazoo.
