Summary
Roger Taylor is in the WKZO studio this morning to answer your bird questions and taking calls so that you may share your bird sightings. To do that all you have to do is call 269-382-4280 or 1-877-382-4280. This week's trivia question: What do geese gain out of flying in a "V" formation, and who leads the flock in the "V" formation? A: The first part of the question; it conserves their energy. Each bird flies slightly above the bird in front of him, resulting in a reduction of wind resistance. The birds take turns being in the front, falling back when they get tired. A: The second part of the question- benefit to the V formation is that it is easy to keep track of every bird in the group. Flying in formation may assist with the communication and coordination within the group. Congratulations to Richard from Kalamazoo for answering correctly.
