EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State University head football coach Mel Tucker has named former Spartan great Courtney Hawkins as wide receivers coach.
Hawkins played at MSU from 1988-91 and is number six in school history with 2,210 receiving yards and seventh in receptions with 138. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1992 and also spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers during his nine year NFL career.
He joins Tucker’s staff after serving as head football coach and athletic director at Flint Beecher High School since 2006.
