GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO AM/FM) — Police in Grand Rapids say they have arrested Willie Bryant Jr. for the shooting death of 48-year-old Shannon Shoen, a gas station clerk and a mother of four, during a robbery at 6 am Monday.
The 33-year-old Bryant is also a suspect in a shooting Sunday that left a 55-year-old woman critically wounded.
Police say he fled from the gas station empty handed, jumped into a white Cadillac and was driven away by another man.
They found a car matching the description on Franklin S.E. , but after a 7-hour standoff they went into the home and he was not there.
Bryant was arrested last evening at a McDonalds on Michigan Avenue in Grand Rapids.
They are still looking for Bryant’s getaway driver.
