KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) –They plan to make changes and upgrades at the Washington Square Senior Housing Cooperative, which is by far the largest structure in the Edison Neighborhood. ‘
CSI Development General Manager Nancy Evans says initially they will spend $300,000 to make improvements to the exterior and interior of the building.
Over the next five years they plan to spend $6-million more to improve internal systems, lighting, security, landscaping and to provide a network of walkways and benches to give residents a place to enjoy the outdoors.
It’s also being renamed the City View on the Square. The new name and some of the improvements were suggested by residents at the subsidized senior housing complex.
