UNION, MI (WKZO-AM/FM) — A Sheriff’s K-9 tracking dog is being credited with saving the life of a suicidal man in Cass County.
They say the 28-year-old from Union had an argument with his spouse, took a handful of prescription drugs and left in an unknown direction mid-morning Thursday.
The dog, named “Faust,” was able to lead first responders straight to the large field where their subject was found lying unresponsive in the tall grass.
First aid was administered as the man was carried back to a residence where he could be turned over to a crew of emergency medical responders.
He was taken to a hospital in Elkhart, Indiana.
