LIBERTY TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — He claims he thought his hunting partner was a wild turkey.
Now, a Jackson County man is recovering after he was shot in the left arm with a crossbow bolt.
Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a hunting accident on private land in the 2200 block of East Liberty Road in Liberty Township. That’s where they found the 61-year-old victim from Brooklyn.
He was taken by ambulance to a local emergency room for the serious but non-life threatening wound.
Investigators will be forwarding their incident report to the prosecutor’s office for a review of possible violations.
