BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — School officials in Battle Creek say they’re considering the closure of Fremont, Urbandale and Dudley elementary schools.
The plan was presented during the Battle Creek Public Schools Board of Education meeting on Monday night. The Battle Creek Enquirer reports the closures were part of a four-pronged proposal floated by Interim Supt. Kim Parker-DeVauld that is expected to save the district over $1 million.
The proposal will be discussed at five public meetings before final action is taken by the school board.
