KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Western Michigan University won’t be offering a law degree, but the WMU Cooley Law School is working with Western to offer classes that will give students in Kalamazoo an opportunity to start working toward a law degree while they are still in college, and has just begun offering some classes in certain specialties for graduate students.
The paperwork was signed this week.
Nelson Miller, an associate dean at the private law school based in Lansing, said it’s the next step in a process that began several semesters ago to bring law classes to Western’s many campuses.
“We’ve got all kinds of courses, curriculum and programs that we’re planning,” Miller said.
The Cooley classes began at WMU earlier this month.
