OTSEGO (WKZO) — About a thousand skiers finally got a chance to hit the slopes at Bittersweet in Otsego on Friday.
They were able to open two runs yesterday and hope to have five open today as they are aggressively making their own snow.
You will have to travel to the Northern Lower Peninsula of the U.P. to find the other Michigan resorts with open ski runs, but others in Southwest Michigan hope to open in the next few days.
How long they will be able to stay open depends on this wacky El Nino driven winter, but sub-freezing temperatures are in the forecast for at least the next few days.
Cannonsburg says they should be able to open a few runs on Sunday and Timberidge will be making snow all weekend for a Monday opening.
