FLINT (WKZO-AM) — General Motors and the United Auto Workers have agreed to donate $3 million to help children in Flint that were exposed to lead-poisoned tap water.
It’s part of a five-year commitment from the automaker and the union.
The United Way of Genesee County says the cash will be put toward health, education and nutrition services. Money is also being set aside for school nursing, after-school programming, special education and behavioral health counseling.
