BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A Battle Creek man is expected to be charged with home invasion after he allegedly sped away from the crime scene and was stopped in a traffic stop early Sunday afternoon.
At the same time, other officers had responded to the crime scene in the first block of North McKinley Street and apparently had received a description of the suspect or his getaway car.
They put the two reports together and took the 27-year-old man, who was already wanted on other outstanding warrants, into custody.
Officers say they found property taken in the home invasion in the suspect’s vehicle.
The suspect is being held at the Calhoun County Jail for home invasion and the other outstanding counts.
