UNDATED (WHTC) – Three of the four television network affiliates in West Michigan are having issues with satellite and DSL carriers. Contracts with the parent companies of WXMI and WOOD expire with AT&T/U-verse and Direct-TV, respectively, at 12 Midnight, while Dish Network is slated to stop carrying WZZM at 7 PM tomorrow. In all three cases, negotiations on what both the stations and the carriers claim are “fair, market-value agreements” have been dragged to the final hour. Last month, Sinclair and Dish Network couldn’t reach a deal in time before WWMT was taken off of that carrier for about a day.
