LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The number of pieces of legislation signed into law this year by Governor Rick Snyder or Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley now stands at 209 following seven measures getting the signature from the governor Monday.
Most notable is allowing firefighters trained and certified in other states to be eligible for employment in Michigan, allowing CPL-licensed retired county corrections officers and certain active and retired state corrections officers to carry concealed weapons in no-carry zones, and protecting first responders from civil liability while providing uncompensated care in emergencies.
