LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Michigan officials are on the hunt for this year’s state Christmas tree.
The Department of Technology, Management and Budget is looking for a 65-foot spruce or fir to adorn the front lawn of the state Capital starting in November.
The trunk of the tree that’s selected needs to have a maximum diameter of 30 inches, and the tree needs to be easily accessible from a road with no interferance from wires. The last requirement is that is has to be available to the state for free.
Nominations can be mailed in to the Department of Technology, Management and Budget in Lansing or emailed to Christmastree@michigan.gov
