SYRACUSE (WKZO)– The Final Four is set and Michigan State, the 7th seed is going to Indianapolis to play for the national championship.
There is something about the post season and the Spartans that just mesh and the one constant over the years has been Head Coach Tom Izzo.
His half time adjustments made all the difference as the Spartans won a 76-70 overtime victory over the fourth-seeded Louisville Cardinals in the East Regional final.
Travis Trice netted 17 points, Denzel Valentine added 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Spartans, who will be appearing in the Final Four for the seventh time since 1999.
Bryn Forbes dropped in 14 points off the bench in the win.
Wayne Blackshear led all scorers with 28 points for the Cardinals, who end the year 27-and-9.
It will be Michigan State and Duke tipping off at 6:09 p.m. next Saturday. You can hear the game live on WKZO 590. Wisconsin and Kentucky will square off in the second game.
