DETROIT (WKZO) — Auto sales were a disappointment in February, but most of the analysts are blaming the weather for keeping auto shoppers at home.
GM was up 4%, Fiat-Chrysler sales rose 6%. Ford sale fell 2%, but only because they couldn’t crank out F-150’s fast enough to meet buyer demand.
GM Spokesman Jim Cain says the sales weren’t lost because of the weather, only deferred.
Those same buyers will have new cars in a month or two.
GM and Chrysler both saw their pick-up sales soar because of the weather and Jeep had a spectacular month.
