PORTAGE (WKZO) — A drive-time crash on busy East Centre Avenue diverted traffic for about an hour Wednesday evening.
Portage Public Safety officers say a 56-year-old Portage resident suffered an unknown medical emergency and drove into a power pole in the 700 block of E. Centre.
It dropped the pole and both power and phone lines into the street, making it impassable and causing a power outage in the area that lasted several hours.
The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
