PLAINWELL (WKZO) — A man who sucker punched two perfect strangers has been taken into custody.
Kalamazoo Undersheriff Pauli Matyas says the man who just arrived from Arkansas, without warning or prior contact walked up and punched a 63-year-old man at the Meijer on Gull road.
A half hour later he belted another stranger at the Admiral in Plainwell.
The suspect was staying with family members in Plainwell. They reportedly called authorities, and after a discussion, the suspect was dropped off at the Psychiatric Unit at Borgess Hospital for an exam.
Neither of the two victims were seriously hurt.
